    Director of Marketing - Chicago - 

    High impact – senior leadership – “move the needle” – opportunity with a fast growth established startup with serious VC funding.  

    You understand  and  enjoy both high level strategy and in the trenches execution.   This is a fast paced and high accountability culture that is also fun and rewarding – it’s all about the customer experience.  This is not “corporate” – this is take an idea and run with it!  Define marketing strategy for the company and lead the execution in the retail and e-commerce space.  

    Drive the revenue growth in multi-channel sectors:  increase the conversion rates, the average size orders, lifetime value while controlling customer acquisition costs.  Develop multi-channel marketing campaigns with a strong story and consistent brand voice.  

    Manage the lead generation and the direct response for SEM, SEO, Display, Affiliate and Social channels.   Optimize the resources to generate ROI and “good spend”. 

     

    Experience:

    Mgr Digital Marketing - San Jose, CA (or Seattle)

    Excellent growth opportunity with a tech company in San Jose.  Culture is outstanding - very collaborative and team driven - high end perks and benefits. This is a brand new role to support the growing Amazon ecommerce business.  This has a significant budget which means you will have high visibility with senior management and the C suite!  You are managing digital for key products and supporting the sales team to develop marketing and media content.  Develop best practices and improve existing processes while promoting sales efforts.  You have responsibility for the development and maintenace of the financial plans.  Optimize digital strategies with Amazon.  Outstanding company culture, compensation and benefits!

     

    • Support the sales team by optimizing Amazon content and processes for effective launches - support all the digital assets on Amazon
    • Work with some great digital talent to develop strategies for Amazon marketing - team with brand marketing and sales for brand alignment
    • Identify new market opportunities – optimize customer experience and sales volume
    • Track and measure effectiveness of changes in process to gain sales volume and/or reduce costs
    • Optimize search marketing
    • Provide paid search reporting with financial budget tracking - work with senior financial leadership on quarterly budgets and plans and strategies
    • Work on a team with senior leadership in marketing to build strategies and plans and develop budgets
    • Utilize strong project management - this is fast paced, changing and must keep priorities lined up and execution

     

    Experience:

    • 5 years creating and managing direct response paid search programs with an agency or large corporation.  
    • Must have digital SEO in brand and building campaigns and google ad click or similar tools
    • Must have some experience working with financials and budgets
    • Must have ecommerce
    • Client management experience
    • Ecommerce channel partners experience
    • Ecommerce channel sales exposure is a big plus
    • Understanding of analysis of large data for business decision making
    • Amazon tools and past work with Amazon is a plus

    Ideally this person will be in San Jose, for the right experience Seattle may work.

    This is a new position for this fast growth office serving this premier global corporation - encouraging teamwork, innovation and thought!!!   This is a fast paced and highly collaborative environment.  You will be part of the team leading global marketing strategy for  new product launches.  Leading digital initiatives that include CRM, development of new websites and the online research world.  Work with the brand team on blogger, social media and influencer initiatives.  

    - Execute the marketing plan with the internal creative team, marketing partners, agencies and retailers

    - Develop the message priorities to drive consumer messaging and align the messaging with partners.  

    - Develop papers and presentations for leadership

    - Work with marketing communications on briefs

     

    Experience –

    BS preferred in marketing with an MBA a major plus! 

    Minimum of 3 years in marketing, brand or advertising – CPG preferred

    -       Must have strong consumer focus, project management, brand strategy and exposure to product development

    -       Must have consumer goods industry experience

    -       Durable goods background is a major plus

    -       Digital experience with a retail orientation
